Welfare & Policies

At St Austell ASC we are extremely fortunate to have an exceptional support network of volunteers who are dedicated to the efficient running of our Club. 

Our priority is to ensure that all our members feel welcome and valued in our swimming family. We have a duty of care to ensure everyone’s safety and wellbeing.

We actively follow Swim England’s Wavepower safeguarding document and we encourage all members to familiarise themselves with its contents. It is available by a link through the club website.

It is an extensive document prepared by experts and covers all of our aquatic disciplines. As a club we are committed to promoting and enforcing its policies, in particular the Equality and Diversity Policy, as well as the Code of Ethics. Please also take a look at our club constitution on our website: this gives clear guidance on the general running of our club.

We have codes of conduct in place; you are asked to confirm that you agree to these when you apply to be a club member. It is very important for the safety and wellbeing of all our members that the Codes of Conduct are adhered to. If you are under 18, please ask your parent/guardian to explain your responsibilities and if you don’t understand something, don’t be afraid to ask.
