Archived news (2010/11)Club Championships(July 28, 2011)Our Club Championships were held over Friday 22nd and Sunday 24th July 2011. A total of eighty swimmers competed from all groups and it was particularly pleasing to see so many of our younger swimmers taking part, especially the seven swimmers from the 7 and under age group. Well done to them and all from the teaching groups, who were competing in a gala for the first time. It can be very daunting experience, but everyone coped really well. It would be really good for the youngsters to get to know their times and see what they have to beat next year! A total of seventeen New Club Records were set and there was an abundance of Personal Best times across the board. Maxwell (from Group A) managed to set a New record in all of the three events he entered (one of which dated back to 2004). The medals were presented on poolside on our last Club night by our outgoing Treasurer, Dave Howatt. Please click here for a full list of all the results.
